Piano, Guitar, Ukulele and Theory
I am passionate about music & it's power to change our lives. I love to work with children & adults to help each develop; musicianship, self-expression, confidence, dexterity & wellbeing, through fun & engaging lessons.
I have over 28 years music teaching experience, with groups and individuals of all ages. I offer Piano, Guitar Ukulele & Music Theory lessons 1:1 and have a 100% exam success rate with ABRSM and Trinity exams. I have a special passion for people with SEN & qualified to teach pupils with ASD in addition to my QTS training in Secondary Music Teaching.
I want to help you achieve your goals, whether that is to gain a prestigious music scholarship, to accompany yourself singing or learn to play for pleasure & relaxation.
It is a delight to play music with others & I run ensembles to facilitate your development in playing in a group & experience the enjoyment this brings, in a friendly, safe & fun environment.
If you've always wanted to have a go at playing along with a group, but never thought you'd be good enough, think again!
I will arrange your music to enable you to access and participate at a level comfortable for you. You'll be amazed and delighted when you complete your first piece. There's nothing like it!
Can't wait to welcome you.
Bass, Guitar, Singing
Hi, I’m Richard, a music teacher who lives in Epping. I’ve been in lots of different bands for nearly 30 years and have played at many different venues, from the Hammersmith Apollo to the Royal Festival Hall.
I play guitar, bass & sing and can teach you how to play all these instruments, either on their own or together, but maybe not the bass and the guitar simultaneously, unless you’ve got a double necker. Must get one of those…
I love playing and singing for myself outside of teaching and I am a strong believer that music must be fun! Sure, there can be times when learning something new can be a challenge, but with the right tools & techniques you’ll be able to meet those challenges head on!
